There is no age limit to enjoying life’s small joys.
I have never played hooky. I was never brave enough to accept the consequences if I ever got caught doing so. But as an adult, I am learning to let loose a bit and take time to enjoy the things that seem otherwise insignificant.
It’s not about relinquishing duties and responsibilities, but rather learning to stop and take in aspects of the “good” life you are creating.
We often hear that we should work hard and play harder. I agree. But first, learn to “play”. Learn to heartedly laugh again, smile sincerely, and scream out with excitement over the big little things.■
